Version: BSR Screen Recorder 4.3.6
"Does not work on Windows Vista, only XP"
Pros: Unable to install, though reviews by other users show it as fairly good, except for watermark.
Cons: Requires a dll file that is not available on Windows Vista and must be downloaded and extracted into Windows System files. So, the program will not work on Vista, it will only work on XP.
Summary: Looks like a decent screen recorder in other reviews, but the fact that it requires that special .dll file shows bad programming. Also, I'm am disappointed that CNET has it listed wrong, whether thats the publishers or CNET's fault I'm not sure, but ... read more

Version: BSR Screen Recorder 4.3.6
Pros: As far as free trials go, the program is pretty open. I don't mind the BSR watermarks in the corners
Cons: The quality of video that comes out is pretty poor. I wouldn't mind the BSR watermarks on high quality footage, but if you try to up the quality on image or audio, the program inevitably gives an error message about syncing audio and video.
Summary: I am willing to spend the money on the right product, but this trial did not do it for me. Another buggy note... seemingly at random the recording would stop. I did not press the stop or f7 button, but that didn't seem to matter. Just stopped. read more

"Worked quite well, but need doesn't justify cost."
Pros: Simplicity of use.
Cons: No "Cons" come to mind.
Summary: Intended use was to make video of PowerPoint presentation. Alternative method used to avoid investment in BSR Screen Recorder. read more

Cons: Complained a file was missing and claimed a reinstall might fix the issue.
