"Just a scam to make you buy a BIOS that you don't need."

by Spyware Exposer on April 12, 2006

    Pros: Nothing

Cons: Program said that my bios was out of date and the company called me wanting to sale me a BIOS update for $55. I check with my computer manufacture (Compaq) which provides free BIOS upgrades and they said that I have the lattest BIOS on my computer. Check your computer manufacture website and they will give you free BIOS upgrades. There is no need to buy a BIOS upgrade unless you have a customed built computer.

"Program works fine. The BIOS Service is Questionable!"

by QuestZone on September 9, 2006

Pros: Program is simple, no install. I agree with the c|net review.

Cons: After submitting my results and questions to esupport.com they sent me an email requesting that I call them. I sent them a reply asking that they just email the question(s), and again I receive another email asking that I call. They seem to ignore any email sent and just send out automated responses. After a few weeks of ignoring numerous email requests to call them, they send an email with a link to download the BIOS upgrade, and finally the cost, which was $29.95.

I declined to purchase this BIOS upgrade from esupport.com for failure to answer a few simple questions. I wish there was another company that made BIOS upgrades.

Beware of companies that do not clearly display product prices on their website, and fail to respond to your questions.

Only reason I was interested in a BIOS upgrade was to have USB Boot support for my laptop .

"Program works, but service seems to be a SCAM!!!"

by QuestZone on July 11, 2006

Pros: Program works as the publisher describes.

Cons: I have an Averatec 6130HS-20 and Averatec has no BIOS upgrade for this model.

So, after submitting my results and questions to esupport.com they sent me an email requesting that I call them. I declined to purchase this BIOS upgrade from esupport.com for failure to answer a simple question I asked them and for their persisting for me to call them, after I told them calling is not an option at this time, and requested that they just email the question(s). I wish there was another company that made BIOS upgrades.

Beware of websites that do not clearly display product prices and fail to answer you emailed questions.

    "Beware Don't use it's a Scam!"

by OhMyGod on April 13, 2006

    Pros: NONE

Cons: For BIOS Upgrades always check with your PC Manufacture websites. Most will give you free BIOS upgrades on the drivers download pages. This includes HP, Compaq, IBM, Dell, Mac and most others. Don't pay $50 for something you can get for free. Don't ever upgrade your BIOS unless it really is necessary.
