Now possible to create 64 bit Windows applications and DLL's. In fact, BCX compiles itself to either a 32 or 64 bit application with MingW32 or MingW64 installed.
Others have working ports on Linux and MacOs - a wxWindows version is being developed.
Need more users and developers to get interested in BCX.
BCX is still lean and mean, creating some of the fastest and leanest native code Win32 and Win64 applications (Gui, console, DLL). BCX is a smaller, faster, better BASIC programming language.
I use this for PPC programs with eVC++3.0 and small Windows programs. Excellent compile time with 6 Windows C/C++ compilers
Small exe's and Dll's.
If your a first time user try the BCX DevSuite Pro. instead of this download.
Still a work In Progress
Good product for programming in C, using the BASIC language. The newest versions and help files can be found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bcx/ and a full self-installing version including the LCC-Win32 compiler and a code editor/IDE can be found at http://www.rjpcomputing.com/programming/bcx/ Enjoy!
A work in progress and always improving.
Is built upon the excellent LCC C-Compiler
BCX is supported by the developer at a Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bcx) and the source is included in the distribution. Also, the compiler, translator, development tools, and samples are all free.
Great project they have going here o the BCX Web sites. Check out the Yahoo group for more information. And don't worry about this C0mputerguy review--he's either lying or has bugs in his head. This is a good product and entirely free.
McAfee found Back door viruses when I attempted to install. Opens port 30005. stay away!!!!
BCX is great for developing console and windows programs fast. I have used it for the past three months and I love it!
I am very impressed with BCX. First, it's really BASIC! Not like XBASIC or IBASIC or others that don't even use standard BASIC keywords and functions. I'm also impressed with the huge library of built-in math, string, and windows statements and functions. And the help file is unbelievable! The BCX guys know what their doing. I'm studying the BCX source code which is written in BCX believe it or not! This is a really super program!
Good for quick app development, especially involving forms and menus. I noticed there are now several development tools on the BCX Yahoo groups web site.
