Publisher's description
From Vuze :Azureus is a easy-to-use Java BitTorrent client, with support for 27 languages. Azureus connects to the BitTorrent network. BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer protocol designed to transfer files. Users connect directly to send and receive portions of a file, while a central tracker coordinates the action of all peers and manages connections without knowledge of the contents of the files being distributed. With BitTorrent, users upload at the same time they download, so network bandwidth is managed as efficiently as possible. BitTorrent is designed to work better than other file-transfer protocols as the number of people interested in a certain file increases.
Version 2.4.0.2 includes performance improvements and bug fixes.

Version: Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.4.0.2
"The paragon of excellence of BT clients."
Pros: Very intelligent behaviour for both downloading and seeding. Can get full bandwidth in either direction and is most evenly distributed I seen for any client. Follows BT protocols precisely. Very powerful options including advanced ones to help techies get the most out of this client and a custom IP filter. Very nice and sleek GUI. Excellent hash checking and intelligent banning of IPs that send bad data. Built in tracker if you ever want to run a small one from home. Support for everything imaginable including peer caches and UDP trackers. Open source with endless plugins including stuffer to ban unfair clients like Bitcomet, Safepeer to ban bad IP ranges, Firefrog for a pseudo firefox interface and lots more. Resource usage not bad for a Java app. On top of it all, it'll run on any platform with Java installed.
Cons: May not be easiest for newbies to use due to all the options to manage. Must have a good running Java environment for this to work well. A few buggy plugins out there but are easy to remove without reinstalling the app.

Version: Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.4.0.2
"Use a different torrent program. Azureus is not ready yet."
Cons: Although Azureus has the most features and available plugins than any other torrent client, I have yet to personally meet a hardcore torrent downloader who likes this program. It uses a lot of your computer's resources, it creates errors when you try to close it down, and many of the plugins are not working fully. There are certainly enought torrent clients, including the stripped down (thankfully) bittorrent by the torrent creater himself. Skip Azureus.

Version: Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.4.0.2
Pros: Gives you all the information you need to watch whats happening to the file you're downloading. I originally had bitcomet, but found it very slow and you could'nt see what was causing the slow speeds. so i switched to azureus, with the easy to use options i changed them to suit my computer and immediatley started getting the highest possible download speeds.
Cons: you can't preview the file you are downloading untill its fully downloaded

Version: Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.4.0.2
Pros: This is my first client for BitTorrent programs and I have to say it's not a bad one. It get's the job done with out any problems, I have uninstalled it several times for an update with out any resistance. It also has nice plug-ins...
Cons: It uses a little bit of memory for a client in my opinion, it usually takes up 90,000kb of mem. This makes me want to switch, but im just too lazy. I mean, I've run high end on-line games with the program running, and it didn't slow me down...
Another thing though is that you can only set your priority to high, normal, no download, or delete file.. and i heard that you can set priority on more than 2 levels in other clients (ie abc) [sry for the long review]

Version: Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.4.0.2
Pros: Nice interface, clean, spyware/adware free, updated, and working; overall a solid program
Cons: if you have a really slow computer, don't run this and other programs; if you're computer was bought within the last 4 years you probably won't have a problem though. I have also had it crash once before, don't remember why, but it doesn't happen often obviously.
