"Solid program keeps notes data synced with Google Cal."

    March 5, 2013  |   By datawired

    Version: AweSync 4.19

    Pros

AweSync provides a very secure way to keep all your confidential appointments, calender entries, contacts all up to date by syncing Lotus Notes with Google Calender which anyone can utilize on almost any mobile device or PC. The developers stay on top and actually listen to users suggestions and take feedback extremely serious. Very stable!

    Cons

It is hard to suggest any Cons about this product. The only thing, and this is speculation is the history / log window holds the data and again I speculate this may take up memory when not needed. That is the only thing I can think of and I may be wrong.

    Summary

AweSync started as a small tool and I remember all the way back to beta testing as I ran across this tool in search for exactly what it does. What was small has grown to be used to tens of thousands daily!! This is my top pick over any other product to sync my notes data to Google! Try it out!!! You'll like it.

*I am in no way affiliated with the developers or know any of them on any basis - this is strictly my opinion about their product.

    "It Works with no issues!"

    February 15, 2012  |   By dgkallday1

    Version: AweSync 4.12.0

    Pros

This things works like a charm. I have to use Lotusnotes at work but we use google calendar for all of our house calendars. This thing syncs them with no issues. I really like the fact that it just works in the background and has a sync schedule that you can modify for update frequency.
The guided installation is great as well. If you do have a problem, customer support emails you back in a day or less. My email was answered by the next morning.

    Cons

Have not had any issues yet. Used for a couple of months.

    "I give it 4 stars."

    January 27, 2012  |   By clwhitaker1

    Version: AweSync 4.12.0

    Pros

I like the ability to see my work calendar in lotus notes on my iphone.

    Cons

The download through cnet is a real pain in the rear. I want to simply update AweSyn without seeing all of the other programs and going through a hassle. It is never simple to download the update. I frequently think it is not worth the effort

    Version: AweSync 4.12.0

    Pros

I've been using AweSync since I bought my WP7 Samsung Focus and love it. No problems syncing my LN & Google calendars. I don't sync mail or tasks, so I can't comment on those.

    Cons

A little slow, but worth the wait.

"Major shortcomings when syncing LN "ToDo" and "Journal""

    January 2, 2012  |   By jstodaro

    Version: AweSync 4.11.0

    Pros

AweSync 4.11 does a good job of syncing the LN (Lotus Notes 8.5) and Google "calendars" and "contacts", as would be expected.

    Cons

However, when is comes to syncing the LN "ToDo" and Google "Tasks", or the LN "Journal" and Google "Documents", there indeed appears to be some serious shortcomings, for example:

    (1) Lotus Notes "ToDo" entries are getting TRUNCATED at the 8K mark (NOTE: I have opened a bug report/service request to have this artificial LIMITATION either 'removed' or 'externalzed' as just another setting.)

    (2) Lotus Notes "Journal" documents (multi-line) are ending-up in Google as a single-line Document..just one single continuous string of characters (NOTE: Apparently this is a known problem, which has yet to be resolved, hopefully.)

    Summary

In my opinion I think AweSync (currently v4.11) has the potential of becoming 'the ultimate' in Lotus Notes/Google sync solutions; however, some of the core functionality issues will first need to be resolved, which will be soon, hopefully.

    Updated on Jan 6, 2012

KUDOS! to AweSync customer service / product support!
    - my original rating: 2+ stars.
    - my revised rating: 4+ stars!!!

WOW! the AweSync development team is amazingly responsive!
    - my issue with "Journal" syncing has been resolved!
    - my issue with "ToDo" syncing is currently being worked on!

Thank you AweSync for such a 'winner' of a product and the 'amazingly' responsive support!

    Keep up the great work!!!

    "It does the job well."

    September 7, 2011  |   By hwilensk

    Version: AweSync 4.10.0

    Pros

It seems to do a good job syncing my Notes and Google calendars. My motivation is that I recently bought an Android phone which automatically uses the Google calendar. This gave me a simple way for my phone and Notes calendars to stay in sync.

    Cons

Periodically the synchronization fails with an indecipherable error message. The sync is always successful when I retry it. It would be nice to get an error message I could understand and a suggestion how to avoid the error.

    Summary

If it continues to work as well as it has, I will certainly buy it before my evaluation period is over.
