Version: Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic 7.00.04.15
"This is my baby!"
Pros: I've used every free anti virus software ever made and none can out perform this one. Best detection and removal I've ever seen in freeware. I've been using it for over a year and have been virus and trojan free the whole time. To top it off, I have bad surfing habits. "Avast" is good too, and fun but this is the only free anti virus I'll use and recommend so strongly.
Cons: None at all. Whine about this program and your a troll.

It really depends on the detection and false positive rates here. If you meant "Ignorance is a bliss", that would refer to users who didn't care much about keeping their computer virus-free. Sometimes it'll be good to have an AV that blocks unwanted "pests" or malware.

if you use this, it might find a piece of malware, scaring some folks. many would rather use avg free.......since it will ignore most malware, you'll never be the wiser. ignorance is bliss for fools.

but from what i see avast free is slipping, but i chalk that up to what i believe to be a totally new version of avast coming out late this year.
