From Spiderweb Software :Avernum is a prison. It is an enormous warren of tunnels and caverns, far below the surface world. You were banished there by the cruel Empire to spend the rest of your life in the underworld. But your home has been invaded by overpowering forces. It falls to you to find help for your people and fend off the invaders. If you fail, your home and everyone in it is doomed. Avernum 2 features 3-D, 16-bit graphics, including drawings by well-known fantasy illustrator Phil Foglio, and a massive storyline with three different game-winning quests.

Version: Avernum 2 1.0.2
Summary: Old school RPG, with old-school graphics, but the story is so great, you can spend months with this intriguing game!

Version: Avernum 2 1.0.2
Summary: wonderful game overall
-
Version: Avernum 2 1.0.2
Pros: Interesting story line, with the posibility for non linier stoy lines for those who like side missions, with a completely customizable character creator. /the fact that you can control mor ethan one person is cool.
Cons: The original game that was avernum during 1995-1996 had 6 characters in your party, while the rewrite (avernum) only has 4. Original camera tilt was easier to move around, the new camera tilt is more for showing off its graphics (abeilt 2D)
Summary: The demo allows you to go through the first section of the story un limited until you reach "chapter" 2, where some areas are restricted, but you can still do quite alot for a demo.
I think the price for registering should be a bit cheaper tho... read more >> - See all 3 user reviews Write review
