I have been using avast since the day I found it.. I heard about it from a friend of mine.. I generally use the free version.. but it's better than several paid products of other antivirus companies.
It has every thing you need, and it doesn't have anything that will unnecessary complicate the matterCons
It does have some cons.. first of all.. it slows your computer.. I have 1 gb ram (i know it's very low this days) and it sometimes gets delayed while working..
and once I tried the internet security, the firewall is a pain.. I mean it does ok.. but it gives too much load in my system, I wish if the package was a little lighter.Summary
Amazing outstanding and very effective.. (except the firewall) if you have a huge amount of ram.

Summary
Excellent AV that performs very discretely in the background. Keeps out threats very effectively and eliminates present threats quickly and efficiently. If one's machine is already infected, of course it may detect those already present traces, which is a good thing.
Have had no issues with this software so far and I have tried them all (out of curiousity).
As with all AV, one should understand that it is ultimately up to them, there is no perfect AV as there is no perfect security for anything rather. Avast Pro AntiVirus is amongst the top 3 in my book! -

I am suppossed to be fully protected with my AVAST Pro Antivirus. I ran a scan and have at least 43 infected files. What is going on? I will be bring my computer to Office Depot tomorrow and if there is a charge to remove the infected files will your company pay it since your program did not do its job?

I have used other anti virus programs. Avast was introduced to me in 2010. I buy it for all my new computers. I insisted they install it at work. I would not surf, e-mail, facebook, or play games without it. Thank you for a super product.
