The fact that the basic free version is active, not passive is a wonderful key that the Avast software brings to the table.
Cons
None that I can think of.

None that I am aware of and I have been using this product some time now.
Summary
First rate security solution and worth the price you pay.I have tried many security products over the years but feel happier using Avast than many of the other brands.

I have used Avira, Kaspersky, norton, bit defender,for the past 4 years,I tried eset smart security got a crash in my system,that have to install new windows for 2 times then Install Avast,& haven't gotten 1 since.

This stupidity of having to put in a minimum number of characters is ludicrous and idiotic!
I don't like that Avast will NOT open in our default browser. This certainly a detractor on your website! Chrome is not my default browser. What browser would it bring up if I didn't have Chrome?

The only downside, is that it takes a few restarts to set up.
Summary
If you find yourself at the end of youn with other services, give Avast a go, You wont regret it.

"It's not worth installing - and it installs spyware."

Good antivirus (I thought) but now it installs other stuff, so I don't trust it anymore - am going to uninstall immediately.
Cons
Installs spyware (is. Google Chrome) on your computer. Resist Google - it is EVIL
Summary
Good antivirus (I think) but cannot be trusted because it installs Google Chrome spyware browser by default, I feel betrayed by this once trusted product.
I will never trust it again, -
