cant believe i've been using this for 3 years and havent done a review...used to use Norton, but when i switched, avast detected some worms that norton didnt, and the on access protection is really effective, it alerts u of virus in say thumb drive, while isntalling software even before it got worse...i've been using this for years, and worked really good...and yes updates are regular, almost everyday, and sometimes 2wice 2 3ree times a day...skinnable interface, has boot-time scan...the best thing is that its effective and it detected virus that other softwares dont, i detected a virus using avast but when i tried to confirm it with AVG, AVG din detect a single thing.....
Cons
sometimes, infected files cant be repaired...most of them cant, and usually u have to delete it, i hope they can enhance the repairing or cleaning feature better, so that files can be cleaned instead of just deleting it...it takes about 1 hour an d a half to do a boot time scan, but hey, i dun mind waiting as long as my machine is protected....other that that...i have no real complains...try it...u'd be amazed...
