For over 15 years, I have been an avid user of Norton Antivirus software, always keeping it updated. But recently I had two different viruses (backdoor.mr.microspy and w32.dadobra.cc) on my pc and Norton did not find it nor correct the problem. Several of my friends and family members have used AVAST! and highly recommended it. So I have given it a try. I installed AVAST! on my pc and it immediately identified, isolated and corrected the virus problem. This has convinced me to convert to AVAST! and make it my primary and first choice of antivirus software. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL PRODUCT.

As a new user of AVAST! I have not found any problems. I do a lot of beta testing for other software applications and would like to join the beta testing team of AVAST!

It is very thorough in its search and like I have said another anti virus program on my computer did not find this virus but avast did plus its free for home use

the only thing I don't like is the fact where you would like it to search is hidden away and I feel it should be out in the open as to what files to search or directories

This scanner is very quick, and easy to use, and to performs remarkably well. I love the way the web based scanner operates, non-intrusively alerting me of malicious content...
Cons
The only thing I do not like about the product is the skinned interface. I would be nice to have a clean, windowed interface w/o a Media-Player look
