Very simple, low mem usage, easy to use. I've tried other AV programs, but most of them increase startup time and use alot of RAM. I would recommend this program to anyone and everyone!

yeah,i'm from China and i don't think the oral antivirus is good enough when they cost as much .but avast4.7 home edition is free and it does even better(i feel).and it offers chinese language,this is helpful for chinese like me whose English is not good.

I like the interface skin; the blue skin. I like how it's organized. I'm used to using AVG but I'll have to give avast! a try and see who's better.
Cons
I don't like how it tends to eat RAM and sometimes CPU usage.
I don't like how there were two icons, until I figured out that you could merge them.

1. Free (for 60 days) and if you want to keep it for free, all you have to do is register it (which is also free).
2. Has a lot of options for those who like to play around with things.
3. Can't tell if its virus engine is any good, as it found no viruses. But I reckon that had more to do with the excellent protection afforded by AVG.
Cons
1. Not too sure I am a big fan of their user interface. But seeing as this is my only quirk and this program is 100% free, I don't really have much to complain about.
Having said that, I have opted to keep AVG and have deinstalled this program. Maybe because I am more used to AVG. But if AVG is causing any conflicts of any kind, this is a great program.
