on a full system scanthe virus scaner will stop when it catches a virus until tou get it rid and it will not resume automaticly

This program automatically updates itself everyday. The update registration is free. The virus scan is easy to use and comes with instructions. You can scan the hard drives or any program or attachment with ease.

Well, I run a small office with 10 pcs for more than 10 years and i ve had Mcafee, Norton antivirus, norton system works, Computer Associates and other antivirus and they were all very heavy for the pcs and had lots of problems. This Avast works very fine, in my home pc and I plan to go after the professional and paid tool after I test drive it a little bit more. The front end looks fine and easy and it provides real time access scan, which is very important if youre getting mail messages with virus and running on a P2P network. I recommend it because it is light, works fine and it is free. Nice product. Bte I run it on a Win XP Pro SP2 and havent had problems for the past 4 months.
Cons
it could have an antispyware program finder in it but...for that I use CA we pest patrol.

This is an excellent easy to use a/v program and it's free (home version). It has detected more than one virus not found by other a/v products you have to pay for.
