  Version: Avast Home Edition - Free Antivirus 4.8.1351

  "If you download this , Plan on keeping it"

  Pros: Not much pros.

  Cons: Did not find malware that competitors did. Near impossible to uninstall. Built in uninstaller failed to remove large chunks of program. Had to remove much by file by file deletion. Still have remnants remaining.

  Summary: Cannot recommend this program! Does not perform well. Interface is confusing and ugly. Refuses to uninstall fully. Pass this one by.

  I've never had a problem with Avast!, use it on all my customers computers, don't know about your bad experience with it not finding malware, but rating it badly based on your dislike of the interface won't help anyone, and you can't blame Avast! for its uninstall when they provide a utility for its removal:

  I always uninstall using the control panel and I get it out that way, I never use the program to uninstall there is to much left behind that way.
