Version: Avast Home Edition - Free Antivirus 4.8.1367
Pros: Works Great and is Free!
Cons: Unfortunately, there was one time that Avast did not detect some Malware that was able to get into my PC. I was able fix the problem with a second scan using another free Software program offered by Malwarebytes Corperation. Get both!

"Excellent Anti-Virus and It is FREE"
Pros: It does and excellent job detecting viruses, automatically updates regularly, is easy to use, even for the beginner. I have tried many programmes, including McAfee, Kaspersky, AVG and Norton very briefly.. I am most comfortable with AVAST.
Cons: There arn't any that I have found. The free version was displayed promentently on AVAST's home page. Yes, it is good for only 60 days without an activation key, but they provide instructions and I got mine promptly via email.
Summary: The bottom line is that it is a very functional, easy-to-use programme and I am grateful for them for providing the home edition free of charge. I only wish there was an AVAST firewall, but I'm using one from PC Tools, which also was free, that works... read more

"Great program, free and glitch free"
Pros: This was incredibly easy to install and doesn't conflict with my games
Cons: Doesn't stop spyware from loading to your computer
