Pros: NONE THAT I CAN THINK OF!
Cons: DONT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU PLAN TO NEVER REMOVE IT. BECAUSE THEY WILL TELL YOU YOU CAN BUT ALL THIER INFO DOES NOT WORK AND NOW CAUSING PROBLEMS WITH WHOLE COMPUTER.

Version: Avast Home Edition - Free Antivirus 4.8.1367
"Excellent and effective most of the time."
Pros: Operates quietly and unobtrusively.
Cons: I have experienced only one problem. The evening of Wed, 12/2/2009 avast erroneously began warning of a trojan virus and could have seriously disrupted any windows OS. They quickly identified and corrected the problem.
Summary: Excellent FREE anti-virus protection but subject to error. read more

Cons: after latest update became a false positive generator and destroyed windows
Summary: look elsewhere until they fix the issues they are having,there are safer choices read more

"Love it! Works very well for what I need."
Pros: Everything and it's free. Doesn't eat up huge amounts of memory and make my computer run slow.

"Best anti-virus i've ever used"
Pros: Has kept my system clean of virus for years, avg and others always let tings through but avast..never. Brilliant . Low system resource usage. Not too difficult to use as long as you read what yr doin for the first couple of times. I love it.
Cons: Ugly skins,would prefer one click button usage but am willing to forgive it as its soo good at picking up trojans,worms etc before they hook into yr system.
Summary: It could be more user friendly in that I would like it to scan everything as default but it is so good that i'm willing to let tat go. There are easier systems out there like McCafee n Norton and Avg but I've always had problems with them because the... read more
