    "Sadly caused a major problem straight away"

    Pros

    I cannot comment as I didn't get the opportunity to use it because of what happened when I installed it (see cons).

    Cons

    I uploaded it, it did a quick scan and then disabled my mouse and keyboard.

    Luckily my touchpad still worked so I could uninstall Avast.

    Unlike mentioned in the video, on uninstallation traces were still left behind.

    Summary

    I'm shocked. My gut instinct was to *not* get it but to go with another software I used before my Windows 8 retail upgrade - I 'think' there may be integration issues-maybe. But if Avast works for you then Ok, it just didn't for me.
