    "Slows web speed a lot"

    Pros

    Overall mac performance not affected.

    Cons

    I've got a 65/5 Mbits/s connection speed via cablemodem.
    Speed test, as measured by www.speedtest.net and OOkla NetMetrics falls to only 15 Mbits/s for download, upload not been affected.
    The download speed is recovered after disabling Avast's Web Shield on preferences, and then restarting the system.
    Re-enabling Web Shield and restarting the system recreates the speed problem, while re-disabling it and restarting the system fixes the issue everytime.

    Summary

    Not so good because of this web download speed issue.
