    "Easy Peasy... Nice n Easy."

    Pros

    Easier to install than ClamXav... Not quite as effective; but much easier for the less tech savvy user.

    Cons

    Very Windows-like in it's propensity to alert you to every little thing it's doing. Doesn't work in the background as effectively as ClamXav.

    Summary

    I've always used Avast! on PCs and am really glad it's out in a free Mac version now. For casual users and non technical types... It's virtually stupid proof.
