"Sooo, what's happened to all of the bad reviews"
Pros
Hmmm, not at this point with this version 7
Cons
I had left a 'respond to' someone else's review two days ago on how this new version had locked up out machines. It is gone, along with a number of others. There are not just two reviews as given above. Quite disturbing this, as it will deter others from using the auto update feature without any info whatsoever. DO NOT update. If you have, use safe boot to (F8) after the dash upon a restart. You will be able to uninstall Avast from the control panel. Use install/uninstall. Then download and install AVG or your choice, at the least until Avast has a fix for this immature update. CNET, this is totally unfair to your subscribers. Really guys.
Summary
As above. I was likeing Avast overall. Scared me quite well.
Hi tydicea. Ya, I know what you mean. However, there already was a number of posts both for and against the new version number (7). I had to agree with the lockup (out). So I did. They simply deleted all the reviews. Seen it before on othersites at times like Mac Update. They have since stopped as users complained. Just not the right way to do it for your acquired client base, eh.

It appears that when there's a new release build number, and it updates on Cnet, they start with a blank slate for reviews.
