It freezed every program on my desktop as well as my laptop as the " Hourglass of Window 7 " keeps spinning and I was forced to switch off my desktop manually. At first, I thought it was my hard drive until I was asked what software had I updated lately and once it had been removed, no more problem.
On my laptop, I could not have it removed until I used the Revo Uninstaller to have it completely deleted.
It forced my laptop to use its " Sand box " and there is nothing stored in it except it is a 13.3" screen as I use it as a netbook and it has the I7 processor instead of the Atom. Everything is stored in my desktop so one can imagine how frustrated I was when I was unable to open a program and in the middle of doing something, it bloody freezed!!!!Summary
Apparel makes the man.
If you do not mind having problem, use it.

That's what happened to me. BSOD on two tries, and then locked up my system. Had to remove in safe mode.

Over 150 million people use Avast with no problems at all so this is clearly down to an issue with your computer, not Avast. I have installed Avast on my PC, my laptop and many of my family and friends computers/laptops with no problems at all. Avast also doesn't force you to use their sandbox, it gives you the option to open programs in it or run them normally. You need to learn to read before you write false reviews.
