Version: Avant Browser 11 build 25
"Wish I could like it better."
Pros: Fast and easy to ues. Favorites from IE Import. Thats it. I know most reviewers like it and I wonder if they have had the problem described below.
Cons: No matter what home page you use other than "Avant" it always tries to open tbe dreded "About Blank" prior to switching. Caused 2 download managers to prompt for "About Blank" prior to openeng. Both showed a pop up error message stating "Can't. find About Blank. I do not to ever see any reference to About Blank on my machine. For this reason I uninstalled in favor of "Crazy Browser", which has similar features without this problem. Kind of gave me concerns about the security of Avant Browser! In my experience "About Blank" is the first step twards browser hijacking.

If you think this browser (pusher of about blank) than you need to try "slim Bwowser". I can almost guarantee you will switch!

Definatly a browser Hijack. I got Virus Burst after. Had to clean with "Smith Fraud Fix". Any browser that displays About Blank is bad business.

had ny browser4 hijacked at work, About Blank came up as home page and I got Virus Burst. Check out Virus Burst @ Spyware Warrior or any other Security forumn.

"About Blank", is bad business. Only I uninstallrd in favor of "Slim Browser" after reading the reviews.
