Version: Automotive Wolf 4.493
"Works alright, just butt-ugly software"
Pros: It handles most of the maintenance data I need to manage.
Cons: The user interface/layout is not that well thought out, and a little uncomfortable to use. Has the reduced-palette look, as though it was written for a pre-Win95 operating system. Adding to that, lots of UI space is wasted with ugly wolf-themed clipart... yeah, I know they like their little wolf theme, but I'm interested in buying *automotive* software, not cheesy trailer-park art. Such a pity, since the software's functionality and features have definite strong points and is a decent value for the price (by appearances better than competitive software I've seen so far). But *this* ugly, and so by choice... I've tried versions of this twice over the last few years, and can't bring myself to actually use for over a week before I have to uninstall it. This software desperately needs the loving touch of a good UI designer; work on the layout and make it easier on the eyes, and this should probably earn 5 stars.

Hey karlraade - I think you hit a nerve. Looks like someone uploaded a new version and then posted a number of bogus 5-star reviews to cleanup. All just following your post. Also loaded up the "useful review" counts to further manipulate things. Notice what happened to yours? I wonder who could be doing these things... LOL :o))
With all the nonsense, self-serving reviews here, thanks for posting an intelligent, thoughtful critique worth reading. Of course rather than heeding some valuable advice, and improving the product, we'll probably see more humorous 5-star reviews.

I tried it, because I had to see just how ugly it could be. This program is to software what air-brush tshirts are to fasion. It's such a shame too. I think if I could stand looking at it, I might find it useful for tracking my motorcycle maintenance. I think I'll rather keep using a folder full of receipts.
