"Didn't even know a registry could be defragged!"

    September 26, 2008  |   By zelrio

    Version: Auslogics Registry Defrag 4.1.12.105

    Pros

I totally recommend this, and Auslogics' defrag.

    Cons

The ask.com toolbar, though you don't have to download it.

    Summary

Even though I have three programs which clean the registry, my computer runs a hell of a lot faster thanks to this now.

I meant "disk defrag" in the pros

    It works..

    "Did more damage"

    September 22, 2008  |   By TBolt

    Version: Auslogics Registry Defrag 4.1.12.105

    Pros

I see no benefits to using this program - it did more harm than good, to be honest.

    Cons

I ran this registry defrag utility on Vista Home Premium 64-bit. During a subsequent reboot, I noticed some irregularities -- most noticeable was that the login screen was smeared across the screen (only for a second or two, but still...). WTH?

    Summary

I do not recommend using this utility at all. A system restore was needed to undo the damage that this program did to my computer. Fortunately, the system restore solved the problem.

I uninstalled Auslogics' Registry Defrag utility immediately. But, I'm still using their Disk Defrag utility, which is a totally different utility than this one.

    "couldn't work"

    September 12, 2008  |   By spoon9

    Version: Auslogics Registry Defrag 4.1.12.105

    Pros

it might be quite good, I don't know

    Cons

would not run due to AV/Spyware software

    Summary

Sounds like a great idea. Installs fine, looks okay. Scans my registry, then tells me it cannot access certain areas due to being blocked by AV/Spyware software and will not continue. This is all well and good, but it cannot tell me the source. I have disabled all AV software, and closed down all relevant processes in Task Manager, but it still refuses to run. This rendered the programme completely useless.

Surely most users will have AV/Anti-Spyware software on their computers? Registry Defrag needs to inform you what programmes are preventing it from running and to give you the means to work around it

    "Good defragger"

    September 9, 2008  |   By smidgett

    Version: Auslogics Registry Defrag 4.1.12.105

    Pros

Fast, easy to use. Use once a month, saw considerable change in the beginning.

    Cons

Sad that they, too, are now bundling stuff ask.com toolbar, you didn't ask for in the package.

    Summary

This program is a very good, useful tool.
