    "Definitely an Improvement"

    June 7, 2011  |   By jocasch

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1

    Pros

Faster, more useful features, more user friendly ... not that that was a problem in the previous version

    Cons

The "Removing Duplicates" feature could still use some work, especially for photos.

    Summary

A definite improvement over the previous versions.

"It has devastated my principal browser, Google Chrome"

    May 17, 2011  |   By userdude100

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.0.6.250

    Pros

Impressive graphical user interface, easy to navigate the program and access different functions

    Cons

No technical support; it's an all-or-nothing deal for registry cleaning which has proven fatal in my case. Recovery has proven to be impossible.

    Summary

Auslogics Bootspeed5 has proven to be not only a total failure but also dangerous to the efficient operation of my computer.

When I ran my first Bootspeed5 scan in April 2011, it so messed up my registry that I can no longer use my principal browser, Chrome. The Chrome home page no longer comes up; I can get email but cannot click on the links; and there is now a myriad of associated problems that did not exist before.

Requests for help to Auslogic have resulted in no help at all beyond an initial perfunctory message followed by dead silence. They have left me dangling.

I do NOT recommend Auslogics; to the contrary, I strongly recommend to the wary to keep your money and stay well clear of it. Bootspeed5 is a scam and I would love to get it off my computer if I only knew how.

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.0.6.250

    Pros

The functionality of this product is very neatly done and user friendly.

    Cons

    There are no cons.

    Summary

Well, I do not regret having bought Auslogics BootSpeed, it is for me the best! Auslogics is one of my favorite software providers. They seem to know what they are doing, and it is about time there was a company who understands the pc user and their needs.

"A mash-up of tools you can get for free elsewhere."

    April 1, 2011  |   By Windows3-16

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.0.6.250

    Pros

Has all the basics: checks hard drive and registry for errors, defrags. Good overall.

    Cons

    Only a trial version.

    Summary

It's nice to have all these features in one clean-looking package, however there are free tools out there that do what this program does, In fact there is a command-line program built into Windows called CHKDSK that does exactly what this program does during the disk checking option. Then there's CCleaner and I could go on and on...

    "Complete System Conditioning"

    February 7, 2011  |   By rdelisl9

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.0.6.250

    Pros

The program is extremely simple to use but it does so many things the you need to take the time to learn the many aspects of Boost Speed! It is so much more than a registry cleaner or a drive defragmenter!

    Cons

It does take time to explore the many aspects of Boost Speed but that is a good thing. You will have all the tools you need when you need them.

    Summary

It is a fine program at a very reasonable price.
