"A good program that can no longer be recommended."

    September 28, 2011  |   By AxFleming1

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1.1

    Pros

Does a very nice job of configuring internet settings.

    Cons

As of 9/28/2011 they are using Internet Monetizer installer to try to trick you into installing some crappy youtube installer.
Who knows what other tricks they have decide to hide in their app. Very sad.

    Summary

It was good until they decided to try to trick their loyal customers.

"Fast defragmenter, not quite as thorough as Windows."

    September 23, 2011  |   By gamedad94928

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1.1

    Pros

I love how fast this defragmenter can defrag a hard drive, even the worse hard drives are much quicker to defrag with this than with the built in Windows defrag. I also love the ability to schedule it to run whenever you wish. nice progress indicator

    Cons

Not quite as thorough as the Windows defrag (win XP, Much better than Vista's, not sure Win 7), I use this to perform a quick clean up in Win XP, but in Vista this is the only defrag tool I use, the built in one has no progress indicator, this does.

    Summary

I prefer this defragmenter over any other I have tried including Diskeeper, Sysinternals, Defraggler, etc...I have tested several.
This one is quick and efficient, runs smoothly even on the worse computers, has a nice progress indicator that you can actually click on a red sector and see exactly what file is fragmented. I love the ability to schedule it to run in the middle of the night while I am sleeping so my computer is zippy fast the next day for work. Works well with CleanUp! I usually perform a cleanup with the CleanUp! utility and then let Auslogic do the rest for me and once in a while I use the Windows defrag for a more thorough defrag (except Win Vista). Great job to the developer/s!!!

"Great software, keep up the good work Auslogs."

    September 22, 2011  |   By JimExcel

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1.1

    Pros

    Safe and fast.

    Cons

Nothing that I can think of.

    Summary

I learned of Auslogics BoostSpeed from CNET a few years back and have never looked back after my purchase. The interface is easy to navigate, updates are "productive" and not just cosmetic. Our computer is shared by 4 people and yes, BoostSpeed is a big reason why our computer has not been replaced after 4 years of service. BoostSpeed performs as advertised and does it all simply and hassle-free! This is one product I never hesitate to recommend nor do I hesitate to renew my subscription, BoostSpeed delivers!

    "I'm Disappointed."

    September 15, 2011  |   By ComeToPass

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1.1

    Pros

    Well It's Auslogics...

    Cons

But The Trial Ain't What It's Cracked Up To Be

    Summary

I would like to write a review about how great a product Auslogics is, but the misrepresentation of a fully functional 15 day trial Ruined that. I've used this on other computers in the past, and it was a decent program. Those were also different versions and the trials came unhampered. This one allows the repair of a Whopping 15 Errors a day! Here's the kicker: After running the 2nd scan, I decided to run a couple different optimizers including SlimCleaner, and 360 Amigo followed by Another scan with BoostSpeed to compare. Auslogics found ONE error after running cleanup with those.

    "trial version is a misnomer"

    August 4, 2011  |   By ttc314

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1

    Pros

impossible to determine. all the advanced tools are locked and not available in trial version

    Cons

trial version only fixes 15 out of the "thousands" it says it has found

    Summary

trial version is a waste of time

    Updated on Aug 4, 2011

AFTER I uninstalled this "trial " version THEN a webpage "http://www.auslogics.com/en/uninstal/?product=Auslogics%20BoostSpeed" popped up with the following offer " If your trial version of Auslogics BoostSpeed expired and you haven't received our attractive offer so far, you can buy Auslogics BoostSpeed within the next 24 hours and get a 50% discount.

Get the full version of Auslogics BoostSpeed for just $24.97 (Regular price: $49.95) version " Wonder if I install the trial version again and then uninstall it, if the price would come down to $12.50 ? :-)

    Pros

Has a function to clean junk files from your computer. (If you pay)

Does more harm than good when trying to fix so called problems, which can cause many more problems.

    Summary

    Version: AusLogics BoostSpeed 5.1

It looks like a good utility program.
