Version: Audiograbber 1.83
"Absolutely Awesome"
Pros: I have used this program for years. I have not had a problem with it. It is by far the best CD ripper I have used. It has all the right stuff. I am not a tech when it comes to CD ripping, I just want it to rip what I want, how I want and where I want it to go and this one does the best job fo them all. After you get over the hurdle of downloading the "Lame" encoder and putting it in the Audiograbber folder you never have to mess with it again. I really like the way I can start the rip anywhere in the song and end it anywhere I want. I can cut out any intro or outro junk I don't want with its start time and end times. I like the VU meter it has and the normalizing feature. Its really a great program.
Cons: Its just that you have to read the "help"
files to find out how to get it to rip to MP3. You have to go and download the "Lame" encoder then extract it to the
program folder. Why can't they just put it in the program if its all free anyway?

All you need to do is check the mp3 box and hit grab - it converts your cd into mp3 - no download of any encoder needed.

I read your review of this software and I also thing it's a good program. However, I'm stuck and need advice if you have a moment. I'm using the "Line In Sampling" device to rip old LPs and I've been able to successfully get songs to record. (the copy status comes up as OK). Question is- now what? I can't figure out how to get those recorded tracks to playback or get them into the main Audiograbber window so I can burn to CD. Can you advise?
Thanks, Paul
