"I love this program!"

Pros
If I recall correctly, I am using it from 2000 (Win Me!) and although I have tried tens of other similar software, I always stick with it due to simplicity of use, speed & quality of ripping.
Cons
Two minor areas of improvements:
1) Lame not included. A bit pain every time I reinstall Audiograbber as it takes me 5-10min to figure out how to install the latest Lame encoder
2) Freedb support can be improved furtherSummary
I must have installed it 20-25 times as I am upgrading hardware or software every 4-6 months. Audiograbber is always there in my system and in my heart. I use it more frequently than iTunes, MusicMatch, Nero 10, etc to rip and make mp3s. I guess, it has a sentimental value to me because it has survived for a decade in my systems which is very rare in the PC industry. I could easily voted it as the best freeware application of the past decade (maybe for the next/this one, let's see...)

It does all that it claims. It has never failed me. Ease of use and quick conversion to MP3 with no deterioration in sound quality and great reduction in size as compared to other such programmes ! Great Software ! May God bless the makers !

Its fast and always works. Its not a massive program like itunes that takes over your computer. It rips cd to mp3's, or other formats, thats all.

It certainly rips the audio book disks I own. To rip all of tracks of an Audiobook (generally 90-99) tracks, go to http://reviews.cnet.com/1990-7899_7-6309584-1.html.
Cons
Everyone complains about the codec problem.You need to set it up as "external", rather than "internal". For audiobooks, turn off the default settings for folders and subfolders. It is unable to join multiple mp3 files.
Summary
Overall, I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to rip audio to a hard drive, if the person is willing to invest about 30 minutes exploring ways to use it. It's options are exceptional for a free application. As far as ripping options go, this product is vastly superior to FreeRip. Bravo to the folks at AudioGrabber. By the way, if you use the Help/About screen to find the home page, you will find links to http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ and http://www.dezines.com/audio. These are not correct addresses. The first takes you to a defunct site, the second to a search engine which doesn't appear to allow you to go to a home page. Instead, use http://www.audiocdripper.com/. This is the actual home page.

None once you've installed the mp3 Lame codec into the same folder.

Audiograbber is free, easy to install, very fast, does an excellent job, can be set up to rip anyway you like, you can add your own titles or use the ones that are downloaded.

I paid for it and now it's free. :-(
Summary
I have been using Audiograbber since it was first released. I have it to be a very easy to use program. It doesn't take very long to check over all the settings and have it running the way you want. You have to download the codecs for it but that isn't a problem and they have to be copied into the Audiograbber folder. That isn't much of a problem either. If you rip a CD the problem with connect to the Internet and get the artist and song titles for you. If the CD is not listed it is very easy to add your own titles.
