Version: Audacity 1.2.2
"Great free audio editing product"
Pros: This is a great product for editing sound files. It has all the features I was looking for, including very straightforward timeline editing and all the basic needs, like the ability to fade in/out and change the tempo.
Cons: Some important interface elements are missing. For example, you can't key in an exact time to navigate to (i.e., mm:ss). You have to use the mouse cursor, which can be inaccurate.

This free product of course is great and I really appreciate
the great work done by the development team. One thing I would like to mention here is - place tempo markers at the side of the timeline, if that is not available in the latest version (the last time I tried out the software, it was without tempo markers). This would be highly useful so that we can zoom accurately into the correct part - as audio is unlike video where we can see the actual part and stop at the correct part - whereas in audio we can stop but cannot see or hear. Maybe I could be wrong as I am just very new to audio editing being a non-tech. Anyway many thanks to the dedicated team for continuing with the great work.
