Version: Auction Sentry Deluxe 3.2.0
"Take a pass on this one.AuctionMagic is a better option"
Pros: This was once a great product with fantastic support. Thanks for all you did Dan Hite. Updates came within hours of ebay changes.
Cons: Unfortunately, Dan sold out to Auctiva. As they are prone to do, ebay changes things on their site. This usually impacts ASentry negatively requiring updates. It takes weeks to months for updates and still doesn't work. Unresponsive to complaints.
Summary: Let the mass exodus begin. AuctionMagic is now the way to go. It was the software that got this genre all started. There will be a slight learning curve to transition, but you'll all figure it out. It also has more features. Jason Novak, the creator,... read more

Version: Auction Sentry Deluxe 3.2.0
"Defective - Beware, Do not use!"
Pros: I used it since 2001. It was the best around for years. Easy to add auctions, great sniping, status was indicated correctly if you won, lost or did not meet reserve. But no longer, see cons below
Cons: Lately, Auction Sentry no longer works well -- and there is apparently nobody supporting it. . Has 4 bugs: won't accept some auction listings , wrong bid count, no update if winning, and colors used to flag status don't work. No longer supported.
Summary: I used to love it, but the new owner (Auctiva?) appears to be not supporting it, and it now has 4 serious bugs that make it useless. read more

"Auctiva Corporation owns and destroyed Auction Sentry"
Pros: None. Zero. Nothing is good about this worthless software. It does NOT work. I paid for a three year license and got ripped off!!!
Cons: Auction Sentry has STOPPED the necessary software updates to make their software compatible with eBay's constant revisions to their website.
Summary: Since eBay revised its website, Auction Sentry (owned by Auctiva Corporation) has been unable to upload the auctions you are watching. This is necessary to snipe auctions from YOUR computer. THIS MEANS IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL! Auction Sentry no lon... read more

"Original creator apparently sold to con artists"
Pros: I won a lot of auctions with it IN THE PAST.
Cons: Paid for a lifetime subscription, now I am looking for another program. Product is no longer supported, does not work. I paid some guy named Daniel Hyte for the program, and he took the money and ran. Cnet should remove it from their site.
Summary: Avoid like a twelve pound doggy turd on a sidewalk.
