A to Z Clipboard is a handy tool that allows you to copy multiple images and pieces of text at once on the same clipboard. This saves you a ton of time because it means you don't have to go back and forth between two windows, copying from one and then pasting from the other over and over again. Instead, gather all of your clips at once, and then paste them into your new document as you see fit.
When you first open A to Z Clipboard, a tutorial window pops up to help you get started with the program. It begins with a short introductory video that explains the main features of the app. This is definitely a plus, especially if you've never used this type of software before. There are multiple videos available after the initial one that take you deeper into the program, as well, but the first one is plenty to get you going. The interface of the app, itself, is intuitive and streamlined, with a single window divided down the middle into a yellow side and a white side.
The yellow side on the left is where all of your selected items will show up, and it can hold 25 clips at a time. If you have clips that you'd like to save permanently, just drag them over to the white side. There you can make categories and lists, rename clips, and highlight items in different colors. The act of copying and pasting, itself, is quick and efficient, and you can even select your own shortcut keys in the settings menu. Overall, this is a very useful app that works well, and it's free, so there's really no reason not to give it a try.
Free Clipboard Extension - AtoZ Clipboard is a free utility which allows you to copy up to 25 times before pasting. (Unlike the Windows clipboard which only allows you to copy once.) The small clipboard window floats above your work and you can see the first few words of each clip to remind you what they are. When you put the mouse over a clip, you see more of it in an optional pop up preview window. A to Z handles graphic clips as well as text. You can also see those in the preview window.
As well as capturing clips as you take them, A to Z also includes editors for both text and graphics so you can create or edit your clips within the program. The graphics editor is particularly useful for mixing screen shots with text or other graphics before pasting.
