    "Give Atlantica Online a shot!"

Pros: 1) Great team play incentives.
    2) Customizable team.
    3) Quick and intense turn-based game play.
    4) Many more! Read the "Bottom-line summary" for a review.

    Cons: As of yet, none.

Summary: Seriously, give Atlantica Online a shot!

Atlantica Online is a turn-based massively multiplayer online game where you command a party of mercenaries that you can customize. That's just the tip of the iceberg though. The progression of each mercenary is reminiscent of original Diablo in that you can both level up and use skill books to gain skills. Unlike Diablo, however, you can also upgrade your mercenaries up to 4 times.

Atlantica Online has the best system for getting players together that I've ever run across. They reward partying and joining a guild in a number of ways, but they didn't just stop there. Players can also mentor newer players as well as teach other players trade skills--for rewards! Atlantica Online really shines in giving these and other rewards, as it makes the players happy to help each other, instead of giving them a feeling of wasted time like so many other games do.

Even though the game is turn-based, combat is still quick and action-packed. Even when you're with a party, all players act on the same turn. And because the game features turn-based combat with a variety of mercenaries and skills the player versus player is outstanding. Every day several competitions are held, and can be watched, matching players up by their PVP division rank (DIV). One day a week there are a few competitions that disregard division rank to find, and reward, the most tactically-inclined players in the game.

Atlantica Online is filled with things to do and with the number of mercenaries you can control the game keeps a lasting feel of fresh game play. This is one of the few games I actually find myself liking more each and every time I play it.

Guilds in Atlantica Online can take over a city, draw people to their city (and away from others'), tax the citizens and those who use your cities functions (bank account, market, etc.), build structures in their city, and even form a nation with other guilds. In a guild you can receive more hotkey slots for your mercenaries, do guild missions, and even guild challenges where your entire guild has to complete objectives within a certain time frame.

I can't stress enough how solid of a game this is, and I haven't even begun about the truly innovative time-saving and confusion-smashing features Atlantica Online exhibits. If I go down that road, however, I'll never be finished talking about how good of a game Atlantica Online has turned out to be.

So give Atlantica Online a shot. It's free! What have you got to lose?
