"This was a great program!"
Pros
So easy to use! Don't even have to make a concious decision to save a video at the time of watching, as it is automatically saved in the 500mb cache that the program sets up. It converts video and audio to ,just about any format desired
Cons
While it was working, it worked faultlessly and I can't think of anything that I disliked about it!
Summary
This very day; after finally succumbing to the nagging from Mozilla to update to
The Ask and Record Toolbar seems to have been replaced with the Freecord 4 Toolbar which appears to be exactly the same except that it works with later versions of Firefox. It is offered free when you download the free FLV player from Applian Technologies. Hope that this solves some problems for people having troubles with Ask.
Firefox3.5 ;I discovered that ,although it was back in it's usual place; my trusty
Ask and Record Toolbar was now 'as dead as a dodo!' Anybody else had this problem
and is there a solution to it? I notice that the Toolbar is still version 1...are there plans to update it to be compatible with later Firefox versions?

GREAT TIP, Brian! I installed Freecorder 4 and it was SO easy to use!!! This must be the easiest and best free web video capture pgm I've seen.
The only problem I had was that the add-on didn't install in FireFox 3.6.3 for me. But no worries. I only had to launch the Freecorder program through the Windows Start menu. Then it worked just the same way as clicking the button on the tool bar does.
