Version: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 5.0
"It looks like they did a nice job."
Pros: It looks like they did a nice job but it's to early to know for sure. It might be a tad confusing to those of us who have used version four for forever but everything in version 4 is there and some, including what seems like a couple modules similar to the new version of Power up. It's faster at completing it's tasks and as usual with Ashampoo, it looks great. The defrag module corrected a file system error that had been nagging me for a month.
Cons: At this time, I'd recommend waiting to buy this program. Like always, it's over priced when first released. Wait for your "make us an offer" email or wait until they offer you an upgrade price, they will!

"A great package at a good price is you got the pre-launch discount price!"
Pros: I like pretty much everything, but am always a bit wary of One Touch buttons. Effective they undoubtedly are, but it is worth testing out each individual section first before diving in and finding that cookies you want to keep have vanished. My big tip would be to download the PDF of the manual and keep that handy.

"They tried to package to many functions into one program."
Pros: They tried to package to many functions into one program. You end up with nothing working 100%.
Cons: Leaves to many undecided issues in its functions. I would recommend Glary Utilities, free edition and Advanced Disk Cleaner, also free. With these two programs 95% of the features of Win Optimizer 5 are covered.

"A good new step forward! Ashampoo should be proud."
Pros: using the software is intuitive, it gives you tips along the way to maximize it's and your experience Having a backup and restore feature is a plus..
Cons: So far, I haven't found anything wrong.

Pros: I have had WinOptimizer 4.0 from day one of it's release, it was a reasonabley good effort However, WinOptimizer 5 is a much petter product. Shame they did not include a Registry Compacter which would have been a good feature, maybe next time.
Cons: NO REGISTRY COMPACTER to reduce the size of |the registry.
