Keeping your car running like a champ requires a bit of maintenance now and again. When that time arises, you want to take your beloved to a mechanic you trust. The same holds true for your computer. You'll want to use a trusted maintenance/optimization suite, one that has done you right in the past and has kept your operating system healthy.
Ashampoo WinOptimizer sports a clean, professional interface. You can go for the One-Click Optimization feature, which runs program at pre-determined settings, or run each of the 22 included tools individually. These are categorized under six groups: Clean up, Optimize, Privacy and security, Tune system settings, Diagnosis, and File tools. Within each category, specific features are listed on the right which makes for an easy two-pane navigation.
In addition to system tweaks, WinOptimizer comes with two skins and can create backups so that any changes can be undone. All of the tools, from the drive cleaner to defragger to the file splitter, ran without a hitch, smoothly and without disrupting other programs, and were effective. Novice users will appreciate the ease of use while pro users will find plenty of ways to get their hands dirty.

"Like the software really clean looking"
Pros: It has the features that I look for when I am buying software that does this kind of work. very easy to use and a very fine piece of software-engineering from the German software team.
Cons: Like any powerful tool just be careful and let the tool do the work for you. I like the beginner level.

Version: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 5.02
Pros: I have been using winoptimiser for quite some time now and am very pleased with it. Version 5 is a great improvement and has far more options.
Cons: I am unsure whether the 'ONE-CLICK' optimiser which I normally use, uses the latest version, or still uses version 3.

Pros: I was pleased with WinOptimizer 3, and I upgraded to this version. It's easier to use and it offers more tools. I'm happy with it.

"Works well - Good tools in the Modues section and benchmark tests"
Pros: WinOpimizer 5 is easy to use and almost took my computer to the next more expensive system in speed and efficiency. Very pleased with this.
Cons: Does tend to delete temporary internet data. ie. if you,ve entered you details in the yahoo.co.uk horoscope section - it will need re-entering after running this program. Also any AOL multimedia settings will need resetting if AOL was not your multimedia preference.
