Version: Ashampoo Office 2008 3.10
"Great, compact alternative to MSoffice or Openoffice"
Pros: Compact on the hard drive, this suite is super if you don't have a recent computer with huge hard drive! The suite does lose a little to the others but how much of it do you use? Quick start up, especially compared with Openoffice, is a big bonus.
Cons: Not a lot - some features missing compared with others - layout takes a little getting used to.
Summary: I have only recently found this software suite and am pleased I did. I do not like paying over the odds for Microsoft bloatware and was not happy with the size of Openoffice either. Openoffice also took an age to open on my older basic laptop. Ashampoo Office opens fast and has most of the functionality of the others. I have yet to find something I need 'missing'.
The other real benefit of the software is the ability to put it on a pendrive and use it on any computer! Come on Microsoft - let's see Office Portable!!
