"making it smaller for emailing...."
Version: Ashampoo Movie Shrink & Burn 3.03
Pros
works..in a manner of speaking
Cons
a bit quirky as far as which kinds of video files it can handle. Works with wmv. files...But, final result is always avi. I'd prefer more control over what comes out in the end.
Summary
satisfactory...but not great

"Lock Up & Failure to Recognize Disc Drive"
Version: Ashampoo Movie Shrink & Burn 3.03
Pros
Nice interface. Bummer it doesn't work.
Cons
Lock up and failure to recognize disc drive.
Summary
v. 3.03 on win7 failed after one successful use. Repeated program lock ups and failure to recognize the disc is in the drive are just a couple problems. Ashampoo support is weak (and I won't pay $4.99 for "premium" support on a program that fails to work consistently out of the box).
-
"3 strikes AShampoo is out!"
Version: Ashampoo Movie Shrink & Burn 3.03
Pros
Easy user friendly interface.
Cons
Tried to work 3 times and failed or hung up 3 times because of missing codecs. You would think a s/w mfg WOULD INCLUDE all necessary codecs to make their program work? Instead of having me hunt them down.
Summary
Glad I didn't Pay for this s/w.

"works well on desktop PC's or on Laptops and Notebooks"
Version: Ashampoo Movie Shrink & Burn 3.03
Pros
Ideal to use when you are burning DVD's with a footprint larger 4.7 gigabytes. Is easy to use and makes it easy to burn for different media types. Is one easy solution for many device users. Compression quality top class and rarely misses a beat.
Cons
No notable faults found has worked perfectly for me
Summary
Very hard to find fault or glitches on Windows 7 platforms. A ripper little program
-
"Does exactly what it claims to do."
Version: Ashampoo Movie Shrink & Burn 3.03
Pros
Easy to use, simple interface and files coded before writing.
Cons
Looks like AVI files need re-coding by other software to mpeg before being recognised by this product.
Summary
Only been using this for a couple of days, but it is simple and works!
The layout makes it easy to choose the type of DVD you wish to burn and then re codes the files if necessary.Burning is easy with this software too. All in all, very happy with the product.
