Produces professional DVD with sound tracks and video. Crashed three times when wring the DVD buffer errors I belive although I have 4Gb memory. Got there eventually. Was worth the frustration experienced at times in the beginning.
Cons
It would be useful if you could start the slide show from where you want; rather than haveing to go back to the beginning every time when editing
Would also be improved if you could produce a DVD in computer format rather than just for TVSummary
Once I got the hang of loading the pictures in the correct sequence, alphabetically (a-z zza-zzzzzzzz)crashed several times 246 pictures and video with 5 sound tracks;was annoying that the programme lost everything initially. Until I Saved the project as I complete the various elements , then re loaded the project when it crashed which saves hours. Adding sound tracks is straight foreward and the finnished product is seemless. My friends though It was produced by a professional company and have recommended it. Will definately use it again, and my brother wants me produce one of his wedding photograhes.
That is intresting the comment about Norton 360, I had to get a patch from Ashampoo to get the programme to run with Norton 360 installed. Maybe why it crashed several times when coding the DVD Will try taking it off line next time. I also prefer it to NERO

Updated on Jul 10, 2009Forgot to say once the coding was sorted it burned the DVD's in a few minutes. I am impressed with programme now I have learned how to use it. -

The slide show (with music) of 200 photos taken on a recent trip that I produced looked spectacular and professional on TV. I had already photoshopped the photos to improve their look and cropping.
Cons
Lining up the photos in the editor was very, very quirky and the software would suddenly "encounter an error" and close, loosing any work unsaved. Also, it is a little slow, but not too bad.
Summary
This is a case where the ends justify the means. I think there should definitely be a users manual. This would help explain how to move slides around so that you don't spend hours and frustrations learning the idiosyncrasies. But, having said that, in the end, the product is very good and well worth the effort and money.

Multiple programs from simple copy disc to Movie making and label creating. I Much prefer it to Nero.

There really isn't anything I dislike with this software, it suits my needs well.
Summary
ashampoo are prepared to offer price incentives on their software and this is one reason why I use several of their very good programs on my PC. I also have had good communication wth them and they responded by adopting a suggestion I made to prevent accidental closure of "create a Slide Show", last year into this years Burning Studio 9 .

Fast and simple loading. Fast and qualitative work (except coding on DVD). Multifunctionality. Beautiful design (with possibility of a choice of colour).

Slow coding files on DVD (approximately like NERO).
Summary
I like this program. Some time I used Nero, but now I have chosen Ashampoo. The unique lack is a long coding on DVD (but not longer than Nero).
Now I use Windows 7 (and NOD 32 - 4 Smart Security Business Edition). Ashampoo works perfectly well!
IMPORTANT!!! This program (as well as some other) does not work if the computer has NORTON 360.3! It is lack Norton, but not Ashampoo!!!
