Burning discs may seem so mid-'90s to some of you, but CDs and DVDs are still an effective back-up tool, and if you're a budding filmmaker or have a garage band that's this close to making it big, discs are an essential medium for your mantra.
The good-looking, easy-to-use Ashampoo Burning Studio comes with all the tools most users will need to create audio, data, and video CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. The interface is compact and uncluttered, with helpful tool hints that open up next to each burning option, making it hard to screw up. To set up a burn session, you can simply drag and drop files into a playlist-style window. We like the handy, omnipresent gauge at the bottom of the window, which lets us know how much free space we have left. Audio CDs can be made from file types including WAV, MP3, OGG, and WMA, while most video formats are supported for DVD.
Ashampoo Burning Studio doesn't have all the advanced features you'll find in huge packages such as Nero, but average users won't miss them. Ashampoo Burning Studio's simplicity and broad range of tools make it a superb choice for most burning needs.

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 8.02
"almost better than nero but need few more options"
Pros: it can record images, & video files onto a cd or dvd very easy fast to setup it did what i was lokoing for in program to combine video clips & a photo slidshow all on one cd or dvd.
burning process at the end is little slow but its worth the wait able to to have home videos or slidshow with an acess menu
Cons: not sure of-> ( im not sure if i can add more to the dv or dvd if the program itself will let me add more videos to the disk after the burn process is complete and you have extra room on the disk to fill up did not see that option as of yet or not sure if it will let so right now im not sure at the momnet)
if this program had the option to edit your musc/ & video files just like nero does i would not have to keep 2 burning programs on my computer ashampoo & nero
con- nero audio edits has file editor to change tempo, and other features ( nero video has the ability to crop, merge add special effects add images, & differnt audio files to the edited movie your making

"Good program without a lot of added junk"
Pros: I used to use Nero. But it kept getting bigger, more bloated and more expensive with several programs I don't need. This is great for basic burning tasks, music, data and photo CDs and DVDs. It also has an expert mode if you want to tinker. all around good program at a reasonable price.
