Burning discs may seem so mid-'90s to some of you, but CDs and DVDs are still an effective back-up tool, and if you're a budding filmmaker or have a garage band that's this close to making it big, discs are an essential medium for your mantra.
The good-looking, easy-to-use Ashampoo Burning Studio 7 comes with all the tools most users will need to create audio, data, and video CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. The interface is compact and uncluttered, with helpful tool hints that open up next to each burning option, making it hard to screw up. To set up a burn session, you can simply drag and drop files into a playlist-style window. We like the handy, omnipresent gauge at the bottom of the window, which lets us know how much free space we have left. Audio CDs can be made from file types including WAV, MP3, OGG, and WMA, while most video formats are supported for DVD.
Ashampoo Burning Studio doesn't have all the advanced features you'll find in huge packages such as Nero, but average users won't miss them. Ashampoo Burning Studio's simplicity and broad range of tools make it a superb choice for most burning needs.

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 7.21
"Good for CD burning, horrible for DVD burning!"
Pros: I installed this program instead of my "Nero " and as one who is forever updating my computer back-ups to DVD I gave it a whirl. What happened over and over was disk burning failure. So I tries a couple of CD's with good success both in music and data. Unfortunately, I need data DVD's so it's out-a-here and I'm back to my "Nero 7.10.12" which burns without failure.
Cons: Repeated burn failure on DVD data disks forced me to go back to "Nero 7 Ultimate" It's to bad really because it's an easy install and small compared to "Nero".

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 7.21
Pros: In many ways a better choise than the two great overworked suites (Nero & Roxio). An integrated labelmaker had done this easy to use software even more useable.
Cons: Could not find any weekness.

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 7.21
Pros: Beautiful interface and smooth download . I have burned one music CD so far with good results .
Cons: This was supposed to offer a 30 day trial and it wasn't. Instead I was offered the program for $19.99 and purchased it and I was not able to burn any movie files with this . I was offered a refund and can still use it for burning music discs I suppose .
