With the cost of CD and DVD media so low, discs now are the preferred mode for backing up, sharing, and transporting data. The good-looking, easy-to-use Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 comes with all the tools most users will need to create audio, data, and video CDs and DVDs. The latest version supports Blu-ray discs and allows you to back up and restore data across multiple CDs. Other features let you burn disc images, erase media, and make copies. The intuitive step-by-step interface keeps you moving in the right direction and makes it hard to screw up. To set up a burn session, you can simply drag and drop files into a playlist-style window. We like the handy, omnipresent gauge at the bottom of the window, which let us know how much free space we had left. Audio CDs can be made from file types including WAV, MP3, OGG, and WMA. Ashampoo Burning Studio doesn't have all the advanced features you'll find in huge packages such as Nero, but average users won't miss them. Ashampoo Burning Studio's simplicity and broad range of tools make it a superb choice for most burning needs.Publisher's description

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5
"Simple, Nice, and User friendly."
Pros: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5 is a simple burning software, easy to understand buttons and easy to operate with. Even a NEWBIE will understand this cool product. After using NERO for almost four years, I switched to this product. Why?...Low disk consumption, and what average PC user need for burning have packed up to ABS 6.5!

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5
"Better and cheaper than Nero!"
Pros: This is an excellent software. I downloaded it when Nero started playing up (for some reason it would only recognise my DVD-R drive as a CD-ROM drive and would not record anything. May have had to do with the fact that it was a bundled version).
Burning Studio is so much better than Nero - simpler to use, less resource intensive, highly intuitive and much, much cheaper. I bought mine at less than half price when Ashampoo were having a sale, but even at full price I think it is worth the $.
Cons: None so far

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5
"easy to use but not much else"
Pros: looks good
Cons: options/options where are they can't do much can't record much without dual layer disc. Needs much improvements and pick and choose options to record and also fit recording to standard 4.7 dvd.

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5
"A brilliant product, well worth my 5 star rating."
Pros: This product is so easy to download and set up. The user finds a friendly interface, and - should the need arise, which it hasn't in my case - help is readily available and user friendly. The ease of back up of my cds, dvds, and the setting up of my own compilations was most refreshing. A big thank you to Ashampoo!

Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5
"user friendly, stable, good features"
Pros: I have tried the pricey, bloated burners by the "big boys," but Burning Studio is my preference. It's easy to use, has all the features I need and more, and it plays nice with my OS and other software.
Cons: I would like to have backup "profiles" so I could simply click on "backup" each time. But since I have another dedicated backup app I can live without Burning Studio profiles.
