Version: Ashampoo Burning Studio Free 6.75
"I don't know what these people are talking about"
Pros: free, that's all i can think of
Cons: didn't work, buggy. I tried to burn a dvd, takes forever for the thing to start, then says unable to write. I tried to stop it from writing; the program froze up and so did my system, had to reboot. don't waste your time.

It simply looks like your problem is a slow computer....you either have too many programs running/installed or you just have an old computer. Think about it...you said "program froze", "takes forever". I've used a lot of cd burning programs and that is not usually a characteristic of a bad program...that's the sign of a slow computer..

I'm curious why you had the problems you described. It's possible, if you have an outdated system, that this product wouldn't work correctly. After reading your review, I tried this product out on an old Pentium 3 laptop with only 250Mb ram, using an external DVD burner connected through USB, and I still had no problem. Based on what you described in your review, I think the problem may be in your DVD burner hardware, or you attempted to use a DVD that already had data burned to its structure or registry. I would urge you to check your hardware, maybe do a diagnostic on your system to make sure everything works correctly, then use a CLEAN, UNUSED DVD and use this product again. Sometimes things go wrong and out of frustration, and one may be tempted to blame the software first, when the problem really lies elsewhere. Take a breath, check your system, and try it again. This really is a good product.

I Purchased V.8 And HAVE NOT made one coaster and i have burned over 1000 discs used v.6 for several months without any problems works great

maybe it's you......no one else seems to have probs??? learn how to work it which is simple........what are you running a pent 2 or something.....lol!!!!
