Version: Ashampoo AntiSpyWare 1.61
"It does work"
Pros: It's a multi task application.
Also, Ashampoo will both offer its products at knock-down prices or auction them in a bidding process. I bought the application under review here, in one of its knock-down price offers.
Cons: I purchased this software 3 months ago with a two year update subscription and use it weekly. It does detect spyware and cookies. I also use its many other features too.
Yes, McAfee Site Advisor does show up red on the Ashampoo website. However, many if not all the best leading computer magazines quite frequently include Ashampoo products in their software reviews. It's hard to imagine them doing so if this software developer is distinctly dodgy and corrupt.

I think there is an organised attempt to discredit Ashampoo. Fro my experience the support is 2nd to none and almost instantaneous. If these complainants would just learn that you just DON'T run 2 similar progammes at the same time.....!! There is nothing fishy about Ashampoo (except the name).
