"Excellent AV+AS Scanner !"
Pros
AV+AS, or Antivirus plus Anti-spyware: high detection rate, as others have noted. Not a drain on system like some anti-malware products. You can run a defragger like Auslogics and there is no noticeable drain as the defrag scans all files on your PC.
Cons
only negative is RAM usage, can get up to 140-150 Megs. But if you have, say, a 4-Gig Windows 7 computer or laptop, that is no problem.
Summary
The AS scanner is from the old A-Squared product. The AV scanner is from Ikarus Antivirus. Same dual-engine as Emsisoft AntiMalware, yet with a different skin on. Not identical to Emsisoft in that it has different features: no surf protector or 'web-guard', for one. But uses the identical AV and AS scan engines. Highly recommend, especially for the price; and especially if you get one of the markdowns, this is a real steal of a deal!
