Version: Arles Image Web Page Creator 5.7.2
"Does what it says 'on the packet' and more - Fantastic utility"
Summary: I was after an easy way of creating web 'html' thumbnail pages from my folders of digital pictures, not only create thumbnails but also to resize the orginals to a more managble size.
Thsi does all that ... and more.
I was using Photoshop 'save to web' feature before for every photo to resize to say, 700*500, then creating thumbnail pages in Frontpage, all very time consuming and tedious.
This program lets you specify the layout format, the thubnail size AND teh final picture size. You can select sourse and out put folders and lots of other options for the final page. You then press one button 'All' and it produces folders of thumbs/images/and htm index sheets.If more than one index sheet/web page is required it automatically creates a link to the indexpage2 from indexpage1 etc ... very clever ...
All you have to do is link to the 1st index page from your web site and upload the 'master folder' to your site and you are done.
I have tried others ... this is simple; neat; easy; and straight forward ... I couldn't improve on it.
PS : My only slight critism is that it puts 'Generated with Arles Image Web Page Creator' at the base of each page ... but gues this is only in the trail version, and you can easly delete it in say, Frontpage or a web page editor.
