It's free and doesn't seem to hurt your system.

Pretty mediocre stuff when compared to a lot of the other photo software (both free and pay) that's out there. Slow and choppy functionality. Has a generic look.
Summary
ArcSoft PhotoImpression Software came as a freebie with a Digital Camera I bought. I thought that I needed it for the camera so I installed it and found out that I actually don't. Had I known otherwise and had I known its quality I probably would not have installed it. In all honesty it does not seem to have any negative impact on my system. Its not terrible software. It's just that it's not good software either. I've only really used it once. So it can be used. It does what it is supposed to do. But poorly I think. There is plenty of other photo software on the web that you can get and use for free that is so much better than ArcSoft PhotoImpression. I would recommend that you do that rather than bothering with ArcSoft.

Downloaded to update my version 6.1.8.135 PhotoImpresions that came with my OVT Scanner. Lost use of the scanner and had to reload the old software.

I JUST WANT TO GET IT TO WORK!!!!!!!!! I'D RATHER HAVE THE PROGRAM THAN MY MONEY BACK-IT WAS EASY TO USE.
