I've used Arach for years and always loved it. Unfortunately it doesn't currently work with XP. I'd be willing to pay for this excellent program if it would just work with XP!

I installed it and tried to run it. Nothing. It tried to open a jar file but couldn't. I uninstalled it.

Summary
This program worked great.... until I exited it. The application's window closed and my computer (running XP Pro w/ 256 MB RAM) proceeded to hang. I had to manually restart my computer using it's power button. This happened twice before I decided to uninstall the program. Otherwise, great program with lots of features; easy to use interface except for tooltips that popped up in front of menu items so you couldn't read the menu or move easily to another option on the menu. Wouldn't recommend because of the crash problem.

Summary
The installation tries to run a ".jar" file. It apparently requires you to have some Java interpreter installed but doesn't tell you about it. Even after using Winzip to take the ".jar" file apart, I don't know the system requirements for running arachnophilia.

Lets see now. Before anyone gets sarcy I did follow all the instructions TO THE LETTER and the stupid thing still didnt work. WHy put out a program that so many people are having trouble with.

this version of arachnophilia is just another great improvement, very well written, one disadvantage though is you need at least java 1.4 to get it to work, but it's well worth it, anyone using HTML, javascript, java, or etc. ought to check this out.

Summary
I have used this program for many years, along with many others. I keep coming back to Arachnophillia. I learned HTML using this program. Sure, Dreamweaver has more bells and whistles but in my mind, this is the best program and it should not be free. I have created hundreds of web pages with it and it is by far the easiest to use.

Summary
I have used this program for about 5 years now. I have used the old versions and the new. The fact that the program practically does everything for you is great! The only flaw that I can find is that sometimes the browser preview button causes a lock, but nothing a windows three fingured salute (ctr alt delete) can't handle. Definitely worth a try!
