Publisher's description of Aquarius Screensaver

Aquarius Screensaver screenshot
From Radical Pixels:

Aquarius is an OpenGL based Windows screensaver that displays images, video, and Web pages on a variety of moving objects. Many different media formats are supported including, most recently, images from the photo sharing Web site Flickr.

The media can be stored on your computer or streamed in from the Internet. Aquarius comes with a list of built in media to try and it's really easy to add your own. Version 2.3.9 includes unspecified updates.

Here's an innovative concept. Rather than choosing (or having you choose) from a library of static images, Aquarius Screensaver downloads Web pages and Internet movies on the fly and displays them in moving 3D patterns. Presets include Digg, Fark, and several movie trailers, but you can supply your own pages simply by adding their URLs in the settings menu (be sure to start addresses with http://, or they won't work). Even cooler, Aquarius can download images from the Flickr photo-sharing service based on a keyword, a username, a group, or even the photo's "interestingness." You can set the 3D motion to fast or slow, but we would have liked to see audio, too, even if it was only stock soundtrack music. A bigger problem is Aquarius puts a serious strain on your graphics card. If you have an older or less powerful GPU, or just onboard graphics, you might want to consider another program. Otherwise, Aquarius makes a great choice for folks looking for a screensaver with a twist.
