    "iTunes 8 just made 9..."

    September 11, 2009  |   By gjj1056

    Version: Apple iTunes 9.0

    Pros

Nice Snow Leopard interface. Its performance is similar to the previous version. Simple to use and a stable version of iTunes.

    Cons

I don't need the new features and there were no performance improvements. Still no auto refresh feature when new files are added in the music folder via explorer.

    Summary

Mini player would be better if it has a small playlist like Winamp does.

"Major problems still haven't been fixed"

    September 10, 2009  |   By thestonegodsrock

    Version: Apple iTunes 9.0

    Pros

    cool interface....

    Cons

    where do i start

its a resource hog since it came out and still is... it uses 30% of my 2.2ghz dual core processor and crackles when i load a page on firefox (because it uses all my CPU) when i have hardly anything running

    Summary

stick with the old itunes or actually winamp until they can sort out the resource problems it ridiculous they add features you don't need and cant be bothered to sort out old problems

also the TASKBAR player no longer works which is a big bug

    "Pretty Solid"

    September 9, 2009  |   By MarcusMang

    Version: Apple iTunes 9.0

    Pros

new design, home sharing, LPs, movie extras

    Cons

new design is a bit cluttered, a lot of features many people will not use

    Summary

The new iTunes delivers a ton of new features and a great looking interface that is cluttered. Give it a while and try out the new stuff, and you'll end up liking the new iTunes.

    "New Version same old garbage"

    September 9, 2009  |   By n25philly

    Version: Apple iTunes 9.0

    Pros

I don't have to use it.

    Cons

refuse to use ipods based on their reliance on this garbage. If I wanted bloated software that tries to take over my computer there are better options. Good for mindless sheep, but anyone who knows how to use a computer should avoid like the plague.

    Summary

A complete waste and a scam for Apple to try and tie you down to their software. Adds processes that are not needed to your computer, has a poor interface (an apple computer staple) and is slow and performs poorly. Tries to take over unlike better media management software like mediamonkey. If you have to sell your soul to Apple I'm sure you'll like it, but if you are OS agnostic you'll see how many better options there are.
