    "Excelent result for iPhoto!"

    October 29, 2010  |   By area4

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

Efficiency top! It is quick and looks nice.
    Immediate access to gallery etc.

    Cons

Before downloading backup all your (photo-)maps.
Look forward to update of former (normal) Email and Calendar.

    Summary

I do not use iMovie or Garageband, but iPhoto is really an improvement beyond doubt. It is worth the 49 euro.

    "Great Except Need iWeb Update"

    October 28, 2010  |   By matthewmiller1234

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

It's Great! It is good because it adds long-awaited features (such as audio and the return of the timeline in iMovie).

    Cons

It is bad because iPhoto seems slower and iWeb wasn't updated.

    Summary

It's a great buy! I would give it 5 stars if iWeb had been updated. It's also good because iPhoto adds a full screen mode, but you also don't have to use it. It's bad because they didn't just put iDVD in iMovie. It's also bad because iWeb didn't update. It's still good, though.

"Is this A Mac or a M$ Product??"

    October 27, 2010  |   By gregrudy

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

    Pretty...just like Vista was

    Cons

Besides that it basically is useless out of the box...none

    Summary

Judging by what I am seeing of late, Apple is doing there very best to become Microsoft. The early release of the IPhone 4 and all of the untested bugs. Now the seemingly early release of ILife with all of its inherent bugs. This is sad...and unnecessary. Mac...I love you because your product is just better. I get functionality out of the box with you that cost me $$ on a PC. Products are typically amazing and upper tier in their class compared to anything else on the market. I would call you to complain, but my IPhone 4 would just drop the call...even with the dumb plastic piece of junk that you gave me to supposedly fix the issue.

I am reservedly anticipant of the upcoming Lion release...although based on these last two experiences (IPhone 4 and ILife '11) I may not be one of the first in line this time.

Fix it...That's what I pay you for. Note to Steve Jobs..when those in charge of a direct to consumer based business start alienating themselves to the consumer's need...the consumers will soon find someone else to meet said need.

Windows 7 is pretty slick... Im just sayin!

    October 27, 2010  |   By zweifel1948

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

    I am still looking

    Cons

No Calendar making, difficult sending pics. per e-mail

    Summary

The Product will not let me send pictuers from mobil me acc. with
e-mail. Pictuers are coming up very slow. The whole program is slow. Like to send pic. without a layout in the back. I think it needs a lot more work to make it good. First time I am disappointed. Please upgrade it soon. I have a big family and would like to finish my calendars for Christmas.

    Summary

I want my old version of iLife back and I want my money back!!! "Mediocre and problem-filled upgrade, no iWeb update"

    October 26, 2010  |   By spinoza2

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

minor enhancements to GarageBand, iMovie and iPhoto

    Cons

no iWeb update, poor quality--control of other app upgrades.

    Summary

I'm not sure who at Apple pushed this through, but obviously it was not ready for prime time. The problems people are having installing it are legion, and the improvements really minor in the end. That Apple left out an iWeb update is very frustrating and an affront to the many iWeb users out there. This should never have been released in its current form, and Apple even seems to be admitting this by offering it for a lower price.

    "Think I'll wait"

    October 26, 2010  |   By WalterMarble

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

    More templates for slide shows

    Cons

Too many users experiencing iPhoto disasters!

    Summary

Let's see...can't upgrade to iLife '11 if I'm still running Safari 10.5.8, so I'd have to buy SnowLeopard. However, Lion is just announced and will be out in a few months, so I'll have an out-of-date OS soon. Thanks, but I think I'll wait for Lion and the bugs to be worked out of iLife '11.

"Nice but missing more technical updates that are needed"

    October 26, 2010  |   By buzfly

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

Enhanced the Audio Editing in IMovie, Great Trailer

    Cons

Did not enhance much needed AVCHD and other Video Format Support. IWeb needs a lot of work - How about simple sub-menus.

    Summary

iMovie's new additions are great but they did not upgrade the more technical items that need to be addressed. The integration and support of AVCHD has to be improved. Have to decrease the import times and the export times. The use of 1080P 60 is becoming an issue. Most advanced formats you have to preprocess the video to make it work or wrap it. Final Cut Express would be the place to these improvements but iMovie should also support them. PreRes would be a great thing.

"iLife is still the best media app but ..."

    October 26, 2010  |   By zdencina

    Version: Apple iLife '11

    Pros

Seems to be a nice upgrade to an already good product. Need more time to confirm this.

    Cons

Not really happy with new iPhoto. I would highly appreciate that emailing photos will be possible again - and the soonest possible - without using the obligatory templates of iPhoto'11 - like it was on the previous version of iPhoto.

    Summary

iLIfe '11 is certainly a good product, but I'm in doubt that it's more than a simple update. There seem to be some bugs in iPhoto and I would highly appreciate that emailing photos will be possible again without using the obligatory templates of iPhoto'11 - like on the previous version.
