Version: Apple Safari 4.0.3
"Good on PC bad on Snow Leopard"
Pros: Fast browser when it works. Loads fast on start up. Renders most sites well.
Cons: Crashes on Mac with Snow Leopard. Has frequent times when web pages load very slow with Snow leopard too. Not the case on the PC using Vista OS. Flash still a problem with Safari on Mac.
Summary: As both a Mac and PC user I have tended to stay with one browser that I can use on both machines. Safari has been my choice although Firefox is getting very good on both OS's. But since I have upgraded to Snow Leopard Safari has had some problems. Mostly with web page loading. At times it seems that it is loading for several minutes at a time. Although most of the page loads it seems that the last part of the page cannot. In fact sometimes I cannot access any web pages even though I confirm that my internet access is good. So I have gone back to Firefox until Apple can figure out this issue.
